If your guard will be unable to participate in this event,
please contact the Contest Coordinator (George
Gulliford) by 11:59 PM on 03/26/08
to avoid loss of your surety bond. Units that are unable to participate are reminded that
they still must provide volunteers to work at the event per FFCC
Policy.
Unit Check-In
Unit check-in will be located at the North Entrance
at the rear of the arena. Units may begin checking in at:
5:00 PM Friday
9:00
AM Saturday
10:00 AM Sunday
Up to 30 performing members will be admitted free per color guard and
40 per percussion unit. A performing
member must be visible on the competition floor and must be in a recognizable
uniform. Seven wristbands will be issued to each unit to be used at their
discretion (staff, bus drivers, parents, volunteers, floor crew, etc.).
Every unit must check in to receive their wristbands, final
information for the day and senior/age-out metals (if applicable). Anyone without a
wristband or badge must pay admission to enter the arena, even if only
to view one performance.
DIRECTORS: Please ensure that all involved with your unit are aware
of these guidelines. Do not expect the volunteers at check-in or at
the entrance doors to bend the rules for your unit. Penalties will be
assessed to units which misrepresent the number of performers in their
unit. We appreciate your assistance with this matter.

Performance Schedule
The performance schedules are final.
A complete schedule can be found by selecting schedules at the
top of the page. Daily schedules can be found below.
The order of performance for Circuit Championships will be determined
as described in the Performance Order Procedure section of ”Contest
Policy”. For classes of nine or more units, the class will be divided
into thirds based on scores received at FFCC contests using the WGI
Seeding Formula. Each third of units based on the seeding process will
compete within their block utilizing the random draw and priority blocks
to determine their order.
For classes with 16 or more entrants, separate divisions will be created
for the Circuit Championships Contest. Units will be assigned divisions
based on their ranking in the final championships seeding order with an
alternating assignment pattern (i.e. odd number rankings in one
division, even number rankings in the other).

Rotation
A specific warm-up area for percussion units will not be provided.
Percussion units
may warm-up anywhere on north and east sides of the arena.
No playing is allowed on the south or west side of the arena.
Percussion units will report to the north lobby entrance at your
staging time and them moved into holding. Percussion units will
also exit through the north lobby.
Color guards will report to the west arena entrance at their staging
time. It is very important that you report at this time because
movement into the body warm-up area must be accomplished between unit
performances. If you are late, you may not be allowed to enter
body warm-up and will be moved directly into equipment warm-up.
The body warm-up area is open to the competition area, so a
quiet warm-up is required in fairness to the units competing at the
time. Absolutely NO MUSIC, gock-blocks or clapping will be allowed.
Penalties may be assessed for violations of this requirement.
Soft music or clapping will be allowed in equipment. Please follow
the directions of the warm-up monitor as they will be monitor sound
levels. The holding area will be a quite zone and no noise will be
permitted while a unit is performing.
You may choose to do all your warm-up outside (weather permitting),
but will be required to be at the west arena entrance four minutes
prior to your assigned holding time to be moved to the holding area.
If the contest experiences a delay, do not assume that we won't be able
to make up the time. Have someone checking the progress of the show
if you are going to skip rotation.
After your performance you will have the option to fold your floor
behind the curtain but must be done very quietly or you can carry your
floor out the east tunnel and fold the floor in the parking lot. All movement through the east tunnel will be accomplished between
unit performances.
A warm-up schedule will be posted when the performance order schedule
is finalized.

Retreat
There will four separate retreat ceremonies. On Friday night there
will be a retreat for the percussion units, on Saturday there is a retreat
for Novice, Cadet and B Classes immediately after the completion
of the Class B performances. The second retreat on Saturday will be for Scholastic AAA and Scholastic
AA Class. On
Sunday a single retreat for all A, Open and World color guards will be held
at the conclusion of the contest.
All retreats will be "Full Unit", meaning all performing
members will participate. During the announcement of scores in each
retreat, the gold, silver and bronze medalists will be brought to the
front for presentation of medals. Please advise performers and parents
in the stands not to interfere with the medal presentation.
Access to the competition area from spectator seating is very
limited. During retreat unit directors and staff should sit in
section 221/220 as the only access to the competition area is one
set of stairs at the bottom of these sections.
Senior/age-out medals will be given to directors at unit check-in.
Please have your seniors/age-outs performers directly behind the
commanding officers so that they have easy access to move to the front
of the units to be recognized.
Instructions for retreat staging
will be available at guard check-in.

their website for pre-show order info.
Absolutely no video taping will be allowed
by spectators. Each unit will
be provided with one video pass to record your unit. There will be
a designed location at the top of the stands and the video will be
required.
Directors, please ensure that your parents are aware of the video
policy.
Jolesch Photography will be taking both action shots and unit
pictures. Unit pictures will be taking immediately after their
performance outside of the east entrance.

Volunteer Workers
FFCC Policy states:
"All Member Units are required to volunteer two (2) adults to work at
a post position assigned to them by the Contest Coordinator. Failure to
do so will result in a fine of $250.00 per volunteer. If the fine is
not paid, the FFCC reserves the right to seize the Member Unit’s Surety
Bond as partial compensation. Member Units will not perform in future
seasons until the remainder of the fine is paid. Only the Board of
Officers can waive any fees or fines."
Even if a unit is not participating in Championships, they must still
provide volunteers.
Please arrange for two adults to work as volunteers. Do not forget
about it and just offer to pay the fine at the show. We don't need
your money, we need the people to work. The Silver Spurs Arean is not the host of the
contest. The circuit hosts and operates this contest, and you as a circuit
member must do your part to help make the contest operate as best as
possible.
Volunteers need to check in with the Volunteer Coordinator located at
the north arena entrance at least 30 minutes prior to their assigned shift. At that time, they
will receive a badge identifying themselves as a volunteer for your
guard. These badges are for identification only and are NOT passes
into the show.
Shifts will last approximately 3 hours.
