2021 Hall of Fame Nominations

Each year the FFCC seeks nominations of individuals that have contributed to our activity in a meaningful way that has had a lasting impact on our organization. Any representative from a current FFCC member team in good standing is eligible to make nominations.

The nomination and election process can be found in the FFCC Policy and Procedure Manual. The criteria for nominees can be found below followed by the nomination form. To complete this form, you will need a photo (headshot), and three letters. One letter of nomination outlining the reason that the nominee meets or exceeds the requirements, and two other letters of support.  All submissions are due by January 25, 2021.

2021 Registration Closes January 22nd!

Don’t forget that membership registration must be completed by Friday, January 22nd to become a member of the FFCC for the 2021 Season!

Click here to access all of your 2021 Required Membership Documents. These are due by January 15th for currently registered teams.

Registration for the season is now open:

  • Returning teams should log in to their Team Profile to and visit our registration page to register
  • New teams should complete an application to join, and will receive instructions on how to register

Once you are registered you can pay by credit card or create an invoice using our Invoice Generator (also located in your Team Profile) and mail your payment. You may register and/or pay prior to the meeting. Show selection will open after the meeting. Teams in attendance at the meeting who have registered and paid by November 14th will receive priority performance draws.

The last priority draw deadline is January 8th! Secure your performance spots today!

2021 Featured Performer Application

The 2021 Featured Performer Application is now available to SCHOLASTIC Performers only until December 23rd!

We’re refreshing the FFCC Featured Performer Program for the 2021 season, and looking for performers who really want to be involved in not only promoting their own team, but sharing the experiences of the performers and teams in our circuit as a whole. We’re looking for new voices who want to contribute to their marching arts community!

What we’re looking for in a Featured Performer:

  • Someone who loves the marching arts and the FFCC!
  • Someone who wants to share their own experiences, but also those of their teammates, and those of performers  from other teams in the FFCC
  • Someone who is willing to make videos, participate in and help capture interviews, contribute to articles, etc.- an active participant in promoting the teams of the FFCC
  • Someone willing to dedicate at least an hour a week to content creation and engagement throughout the season

Who is eligible?

  • Current performers from active teams in good standing with the FFCC for the 2021 season
  • Scholastic performers (those in teams from middle or high schools). We will have other opportunities for independent performers.
  • Performers who have not previously participated in the Featured Performer Program.

  • Director & Parent/Guardian approval is required by anyone selected to participate.
  • We will be taking a smaller number of performers this season, so please be sure to include all of the components below!

How to Apply

  • VIDEO:
    • Make a short video (under a minute) introducing yourself and telling us what you love about the marching arts and being part of the FFCC. Upload it to YouTube or a similar platform. Make sure it is unlisted or public so we can access it. Share your link in the appropriate question in the application form.
  • SHORT PERSONAL ESSAY:
    • Write a short personal essay that includes the following, and upload it as a Word Document or PDF in the application:
      • A bio- write a paragraph or two about yourself, including your performance experience, other school activities, and any other information you’d like to share (family, hobbies, future goals, etc.) This should be edited and ready for publication on the FFCC Website or social media.
      • Answer the following questions:
        • Why do you want to be a Featured Performer?
        • What skills, hobbies, or interests do you have that you can apply here?
        • What would you like to contribute as a Featured Performer?
  • PHOTO:
    • Have a headshot or performance photo that is clear and suitable for publication on our website or social media to upload with your application.
  • APPLICATION:
    • Complete the Application no later than 11:59pm on Wednesday, December 23rd

2021 Access Scholarship Application

This summer, the FFCC introduced the FFCC Access Scholarship Program to help performers of color, who have been traditionally underrepresented in the activity, to overcome the barrier of access to the marching arts. The application for the 2021 season is now available.

Scholarship Purpose

The purpose the FFCC Access Program Scholarship is to provide performers of minority descent who are typically underrepresented in the marching arts with financial support for participation in teams in our circuit.

Applicant Requirements:

The applicant must be an active marching member of a team who is a member in good standing of the FFCC.

The applicant must be of racial or ethnic minority descent.

Application Deadline:

December 31, 2020 before 11:59PM

Application Components to Complete or Collect Prior to Filling out the Form:

  • Personal Essay Questions (see requirements page) as a Word Document or PDF
  • Headshot (clear photo, suitable for publication)
  • Team Director’s Name and Email
  • Additional Reference Name and Email
    • For scholastic performers, this must be a teacher (other than guard, percussion, or band director) and the email must be their official district email address
    • For independent performers, please supply a professional, work, or school reference who is not related to you and can speak to your character

Awards

Scholarship winners will be announced prior to the start of the 2021 season and recognized at their respective premiere events. Each scholarship winner will be awarded a $500 stipend towards their dues and/or other expenses incurred in the course of season participation.

2021 Season Registration is Open!

The Initial Membership Meeting for the 2021 season took place on Sunday, November 8th on Zoom. You can read the meeting minutes &other documents here .

Important Dates:

  • Saturday, November 7th:
    • Register for the Membership Meeting by noon.
  • Sunday, November 8th:
    • Membership Meeting at 3:00pm via Zoom
  • Saturday, November 14th:
    • Deadline to register in the first round of show draws. We must receive your online payment by November 14th or your check must be postmarked by the 14th to be included in this round of performance draws. Shows are first come, first served. We will not be able to waive attendance caps because of COVID-19 restrictions. You can continue to register after 11/14, but you will not receive a preferential draw. Virtual contests will be available every weekend, and have no caps.
  • Friday, December 4th
    • Second priority performance draw deadline! Teams must be registered and paid to be a part of this performance draw. Remember that shows will close when they reach the performance cap, and you will be added to the waiting list.
  • Friday, January 8th
    • Third priority performance draw deadline! Teams must be registered and paid to be a part of this performance draw.
  • Friday, January 15th:
    • Deadline to Upload Rosters and Performer Agreements– must be signed by Principal!
    • Deadline for Independent teams to upload performer agreements and insurance
  • Friday, January 22nd: 
    • Deadline to register and pay to become a 2021 FFCC member team (live and/or virtual). Teams registering after this date will pay as a non-member, and will not be eligible to participate in premiere or championships.
    • Deadline to register and pay for Championships
    • Deadline to withdraw from 2021 circuit membership and receive a refund.

Contest Operations and Policy Changes

Please review our the season changes, meeting minutes, and presentation from the Membership Meeting, available here. We will continue to update you on procedures and policy as we get closer to the start of live events. Changes will be many and fluid this season, and we appreciate your help in preparing your students and parents to meet those challenges with a positive attitude.
