FFCC / Florida Federation of Colorguards Circuit

Colorguard, Percussion, and Winds for Northern and Central Florida

FFCC Class Promotion Procedure

  • All teams are reviewed weekly for correct classification in all of our local classes in every division of the FFCC (color guard, percussion, and winds). All nationally competitive classes are expected to compete in the same class within the FFCC that they do nationally. Any team promoted by WGI will automatically be promoted to the corresponding class in the FFCC.
  • The promotion criteria is fluid and is based on the competitive center of the class above where a team is classified. If your team exceeds the competitive center of the class above, they definitely become a significant candidate for promotion and the review process moves further along.
  • Mitigating factors like depth of the show, etc. are then taken into account to make the final determination that the promotion is appropriate.
  • This is a case by case process, with the competitive center philosophy being the factor that drives the decision.
  • Teams promoted will be informed via their official email address on their registration page by Sunday evening. Promotions will be announced on the website shortly after the emails are sent to the directors.
