Established in 2017, FFCC Featured Performers serve as ambassadors of the circuit and their school by creating videos, blogs, and more throughout each season to share their experience and those of others in the FFCC. They are leaders amongst their peers who enjoy sharing their love for the marching arts.

You must be a performer in a program that is a member in good standing of the circuit for the season, a high school student in grades 9-12. You should be a role model on and off the field or floor.

Applications

Applications are open each season. Check back here and on our social media to learn more about applying. We only take a small number of performers to give them our full attention. The program is no longer open to Independent performers due to time constraints.

Apply to become a 2026 Outdoor Featured Performer

Someone who is: 

  • Commited to being a positive role model for other performers in the circuit
  • Willing to actively participate in producing written and video content throughout the season.
  • Interested in promoting the FFCC and the marching arts in a positive way
  • Interested in building community in the FFCC and sharing the stories of others, not just themselves.
  • Able to follow written instructions and meet deadlines.

There is no set number, but we keep it small so that performers can work with our Media Team. We accept fewer performers for Outdoor due to the shorter timeline of the season. There are typically between 5-10 for Outdoor and 15-20 for Indoor.

We love our Independent Performers, but over the years many were unable to participate fully. We also had to divide our Scholastic and Independent programs due to performer safety concerns, which led to lots of work for our small staff. We decided to continue the program only with a smaller number of dedicated Scholastic Performers.

Right now we are only accepting Featured Performers for one year/season due to high demand. We want to give as many performers as possible the opportunity to participate. While we tend to choose many juniors and seniors, we do sometimes have dedicated sophomores and freshmen who participate. If you don’t get accepted, please apply again! We love to see your growth each season.

You’ll communicate with members of our Media Team who are professionals in marketing, videography, photography, and more. Our team is fully background checked and SafeSport certified. Parents are required to give consent for participation. You can reach us at marketing@ffcc.org 

One of our biggest struggles throughout the year are those who are unable to meet deadlines and follow written directions. We understand that life happens, but we want to be fair to those who make the effort to follow directions and show initiative. Please plan ahead and upload your application and video prior to the deadline in case you need assistance. 

2026 Outdoor Application Requirements

We’re looking for positive, engaging, and dedicated performers to represent our scholastic teams. Submit your application no later than Sunday, August 23rd at 11:59pm. Late applications will not be considered. Remember this is only open to high school students participating in the FFCC Outdoor Season, and performers must be in grades 9-12. While we encourage everyone to apply, we are especially looking for seniors who have participated in all four years of FFCC Outdoor in celebration of our fourth season!

Please have the following items ready when you apply:

  • Director’s Information

  • Parent/Guardian Contact Information

  • A performance photo or headshot suitable for publication (no watermarks, no filters, etc.)

  • A video submission of ONE MINUTE OR LESS. See requirements below.

  • Please don’t start the application until you’re ready to complete it in full. It will not save.

  • Preview the short answer responses so you’re ready to give a complete answer. Spend some time on these and your video- these are the only way the judges can learn about you. Make it your best!

Video Requirements

Upload a short video, under one minute, introducing yourself.

What to include:

  1. An introduction with your name, school, and section
  2. Tell us what you love about the marching arts
  3. Tell us a little more about yourself- what you’re passionate about, and what you hope to do in the future.

Please film in portrait/vertical (If you don’t know what that means, google it.)

Please post your video to YouTube, Vimeo, Dropbox, or Google Drive (or similar) and share the link in the application. Be sure your video link is public or unlisted so we can watch it. TEST IT BEFORE YOU SUBMIT! We will not reach out if it isn’t available, and you will not be considered.

Pro Tip: Be creative, have fun, speak clearly, make sure you have great lighting, and don’t be afraid to show off your editing skills! You can include your band if you’d like, but it’s not required.

Rules & Guidelines

Ticketing Policy
  • All sales are final. No requests for refunds will be accepted. It is the patron’s responsibility to ensure they are seated at least 15 minutes prior to a scheduled performance.
  • All seats for this event are considered general admission and are available on a first come, first serve basis. No seating may be reserved by patrons.
  • All patrons attending the event must have a ticket to gain access to the event. Children 6 and under will be permitted into the event without a ticket; however, they may be required to sit on a parent/guardian’s lap for the duration of the event. Please be prepared to show proof of age at the gate if asked.
  • Tickets purchased for this event are considered a revocable license to attend the stated event. FFCC reserves the right to revoke admission with or without refund of admission.
  • Disabled seating is available for this event on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you are experiencing difficulties locating a seat, please speak with an FFCC Representative and we will be happy to work with you to locate an available seat to safely fit your needs.
Video Policy

Due to US Copyright Law, and at the request of the performing ensembles, videotaping and/or recording of this event is strictly prohibited. You may be subject to dismissal from the arena without refund of admission if found to be in violation of this rule. We thank you in advance for your cooperation.

Photography Policy

Family, friends and fans may take still photos of FFCC events for personal use only.

Professional photography equipment, tripods, and flash photography are NOT PERMITTED at FFCC Events. Please patronize our photographers.

Smoking Policy

All FFCC Events are TOBACCO FREE. A no smoking policy will be strictly enforced.
